Calls For Submission

A Note from the Curator:

Thank you for submitting your artwork to the Red Brick Common. We believe in promoting the arts through our exhibits and programs, as well as giving a platform for underrepresented voices.

You may submit artwork at anytime, however we recommend reviewing our calls for submissions below.

You can see examples of our past and present exhibitions on our Exhibit Schedule page and virtual exhibits and artist features on our YouTube channel by clicking here.

Exhibit: “Harvest & All Hallows: The Spooky, Scary, and Sacred

Artists of all styles and mediums are invited to submit works exploring themes of harvest, Halloween, the paranormal, the sacred, and the scary for an upcoming exhibit celebrating the mystical and macabre.

📆 Submission Deadline: July 15, 2025

Submission Requirements:

  1. 3-5 jpeg images of artwork available for exhibit. Files should be less than 1 megabyte each.
  2. Image list of artwork in a Word document including: Title, medium, date created, dimensions, weight, and price.
  3. Artist contact information including: Email, phone, mailing address, and social media handles.
  4. Artist bio
  5. Artist CV
  6. Artist statement about the artwork submitted.

Exhibit: “A Touch of Red: Show & Sale

Artists of all styles, subject matter, and mediums are invited to submit works featuring/including RED for a festive holiday show and sale celebrating creativity united by colour.

Art Gallery Curator Alexis Marie Chute welcomes you to submit your work. She wants to see the unique method and meaning in your art. What does your work have to say? The mandate of the Multicultural Heritage Centre Public Art Gallery is to present in-person and virtual exhibitions of work by local artists, as well as stimulate creativity by showcasing art never seen before in the province. We promote, connect, and support artists, art-lovers, and the community through a variety of programming. Our efforts contribute to the dialogue of contemporary art and stimulate engagement with the art, along with cultivate creative community.
